Weaving the Threads of Healing and Radical Hospitality - with Ruth Harvey

Weaving the Threads of Healing and Radical Hospitality

With Ruth Harvey

March 9 & April 6, 2022

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Ruth Harvey, the leader of The Iona Community

will be joining leaders from Naramata Centre in British Columbia, Five Oaks Centre in Paris, Ontario, Tatamagouche Centre in Nova Scotia, and Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Pennsylvania. Our retreat centres were all inspired by The Iona Community in Scotland made of dispersed community or "common life" groups working to join spiritual, peace and social justice practices.

Together we reflect on some central questions we are holding in our respective communities: How are we called to faithfully honor our inner spiritual journey and hold the outer journey of working for justice in these challenging times?  What kinds of healing and hospitality or collective care are called for at this moment?

It is our sincere hope that this 2-part online ninety-minute offering will bring together people from The Iona Community along with Iona-inspired retreat centers across North America/Turtle Island. Our time together will include a centering, a reflection from Ruth Harvey, a small group conversation, and a closing circle. Join us for this exciting Lenten-inspired program bringing together communities from across continents. Honouring people from all spiritual and faith traditions, we also celebrate the lengthening of light and the coming of Spring.
